About

FLETCHER OXFORD as an actor

Fletcher has studied acting at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London, after being one of the 24 New Zealanders chosen to join the 'Young Shakespeare Company' for 2018. He is also the proud recipient of an 'Outstanding Scholarship' in NCEA Drama, placing him in the top 1% of his 2018 cohort and one of 7 recipients in the country.

Some of Fletcher's notable theatre roles include:

Warner in Legally BlondePrince Charming in CinderellaFiyero (Alternate) in WickedGaston in Beauty & The Beast, Melchior Gabor in Spring Awakening (Zony Nomination - Best Leading Male in a Musical), Mr Darling in Peter Pan, Leontes in The Winter's Tale, Sir Galahad in Spamalot and many more.

Fletcher is also an experienced camera actor, having starred in numerous NZ Short Films including: Implications Of Imagination, Plastic Hearts, Smile Shop, Bleach, Once More With Muchness, Briefcase Infiltration and more.

Furthermore, Fletcher has won several national Theatresports titles alongside his award winning team, and is well experienced at improvisational theatre.

Most importantly however, he is a friendly and approachable young man, with a passion for spreading his love of acting with others. His energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment is infectious, and for Fletcher it's as much about loving what you do, as it is about learning everything you can.
